Chain Letters
We have been receiving reports that chain letters are circulating here on VMKMagic. While chain letters are considered a harmless hoax, they are still against the rules on VMKMagic.
As quoted from our site rules:

Chain Letters
Spreading generalized messages for the sake of just reproducing the message endlessly is strictly prohibited from VMK Magic and it's a good cause for a suspension. These kinds of messages are usually made up from a curse that could happen to you if you do not send the message to X amount of people. If you are told to send the same exact message to an X amount of people, please do not do so and report the person who is asking you to do so, so that a proper suspension action is taken.
If you receive a chain letter, please do not forward it on to our members as it instructs. You may report the incident by forwarding the PM to any member of our moderation team with a brief message that it was sent to you. Chain letters will not be tolerated here on VMKMagic and anyone caught sending chain letters will face account punishment.

Downtime Status
The Latest Information Concerning VMKMagic
The downtime was planned for 10:00AM eastern this morning, with our hosting company. However, our hosting company made a mistake, and was not able to perform the necessary upgrades during this downtime. Because of this, we went down again at 12:00PM eastern. The downtime was necessary to help improve the site's performance. We apologize for the inconvenience this caused.

Everything You Need To Know About Posting On VMKMagic
Everyone is entitled to an occasional spammy sentence ending, such as "!!". However, you may not use VMKMagic as an instant messenger. When posting on VMKMagic, please attempt to use proper grammar. Posts which use extended words (i.e. "okayyyy"), or extended punctuation marks (i.e. "!!!!!!!!!"), are spam. As a general rule, any word/phrase which repeats a letter more than 3 times, is spam. Please don't use VMKMagic like you would an instant messenger, we are a forum. What you post on these forums should be written in a way that makes it easy for everyone else to read. Anything posted in a "sloppy" fashion, can make it difficult for others to read. Posts like this are harming VMKMagic, and ultimately rendering it an enviroment which it was not intended to be. For more information, you may refer to our "Spam" rule, here:

Spamming is the act of creating multiple or useless threads, topics, words, posts, smilies, etc. Spamming is not tolerated ANYWHERE on VMKMagic and when it is found/reported, it will be deleted and the User will be infracted. So many Spamming Infractions will turn into a ban.
In coming months, we will be hiring more staff members, and making changes to our forums to help better their quality. If you cannot post in the correct forum, and post with some-what clean looking text, then your account will be infracted with a spamming violation.
